Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and how to stop it. This is a short document because we do very little with your data.
The short version
Solz Designs runs Google Analytics on this website and accepts enquiries by WhatsApp, phone and email. We do not sell data, we do not run advertising trackers, and there is no account to create. If you only read one section, read this one.
What the enquiry form actually does
The form on the contact page does not send anything to us or to any server. It assembles what you type into a WhatsApp message or an email draft and hands it to your own device. Nothing is transmitted until you press send in WhatsApp or your mail app, and nothing you type is stored on this website.
That means if you fill the form in and change your mind, closing the tab is enough — there is nothing to delete.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-V4C8HGN5S0) to understand which pages people read and roughly where visitors come from. This sets cookies in your browser and sends usage data to Google, which processes it on our behalf.
We use it to decide what to write and what to fix. We do not use it to identify individuals, and we have no interest in doing so.
- Pages viewed, time on page and the route taken through the site
- Approximate location, usually at city level, derived from your IP address
- Device, browser and screen size
- Where you arrived from — a search, a social link, or directly
Opting out of analytics
You can block analytics entirely without losing any part of this site. Any content blocker, Brave's built-in shield, or Google's official browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout will do it. Turning on "Do Not Track" or private browsing in most browsers also prevents it.
Nothing on this website depends on analytics. Blocking it changes nothing about what you can read or do here.
What we keep when you contact us
If you message us, we keep the conversation and anything you send with it — the WhatsApp thread, the email, the project details. We keep it for as long as we are working together, and afterwards for our own records of work done and paid for.
If you want that removed, ask and we will remove it, except where we are required to keep a record of an invoice.
Who else is involved
Three third parties touch this site, and no others:
- Vercel hosts the website and processes standard server request logs
- Google Analytics processes the usage data described above
- Google Fonts serves two typefaces; fonts are self-hosted from our own server, so Google receives nothing when you load a page
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email mcgyver8605@gmail.com or message +263 77 823 1792 and we will deal with it — there is no process and no form, it is one person reading the message.
Zimbabwe's Data Protection Act applies to how we handle personal information. If you are contacting us from the EU or UK, we handle requests to the same standard.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the reviewed date at the top of this page changes with it. We do not keep a changelog for a document this short — compare the date instead.
